The Tusk Knife 2.0 – ASC & Dozier Collaboration

$285.00$320.00

The Tusk was a collaboration between American Survival Co Instructors and the expert Blade maker Dan Crotts at Dozier Knives. The blade is 3 1/4” long and has an overall length of 7 1/2”. The blade is full tang and is made from D2 steel. The spine of the knife has a nice 90-degree angle for striking ferro rods and the handle scales have a bearing inset into the handle for a bow drill spindle. So, the knife can be used as a bearing block for friction fire while it is still in the sheath.

The blade is full tang and is made from D2 steel. It has G10 removable scales, a slight modification to the grip and a Cerakote finish on the blade by FoxFire Finishes! We left the coating off of the spine so it wouldn’t interfere with using a ferro rod.

The spine of the knife has a nice 90-degree angle for striking ferro rods and the handle scales have a bearing inset into the handle for a bow drill spindle. So, the knife can be used as a bearing block for friction fire while it is still in the sheath.
